TBC Signs MOU for Cooperation in Assessing the Life Cycle of Beverage Packaging

On October 15, 2020, Associate Professor Dr. Jackrit Suthakorn, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Mahidol University, and Mr. Saroch Chayavivatkul, Managing Director of Thai Beverage Can Ltd., signed a MOU regarding the implementation of a research project on the Life Cycle Assessment of Beverage Packaging in Thailand. This includes aluminium cans, plastic bottles (Polyethylene Terephthalate), glass bottles, and paper cartons

Through this collaboration, the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Mahidol University’s Faculty of Engineering and Thai Beverage Can Ltd. are committed to developing integrated engineering research and assessing the sustainability of the life cycle of beverage packaging. The aim is to enhance the competitiveness of the aluminium and beverage packaging industry in Thailand by supporting and developing skilled personnel in integrated engineering, and by applying the research outcomes for the benefit of the industry, society, and the environment.
