TBC Joins Forces to Drive the “Saraburi Sandbox” Toward Becoming Thailand’s First Low-Carbon Model City

On 22 January 2026, Thai Beverage Can Limited (TBC) was honored to participate in the Saraburi Sandbox: Low Carbon City event, titled “Saraburi Sandbox Day: Joining Forces to Build Thailand’s First Low-Carbon City (2nd Edition)”. The event served as an important platform bringing together the public sector, private sector, and local communities to jointly drive tangible low-carbon city development at the provincial level. The event was organized by Saraburi Province, in collaboration with the Thai Cement Manufacturers Association, the Federation of Thai IndustriesSaraburi Province, and partner organizations, and was held at the Saraburi Provincial Government Complex.

During the event, TBC was invited to join a panel discussion under the theme “Saraburi Sandbox: Collaboration Toward Communities.” Ms. Kitiya Santaveesuk, Associate Vice President, Sustainability, Branding & Communication, and Corporate Affairs, shared best practices from TBC’s “Can to Can Journey” and “Aluminium Loop” initiatives. These projects are implemented in collaboration with partners across the entire value chain—from aluminium raw material production and packaging manufacturing to collection and recycling. The initiatives reflect TBC’s role in building a circular economy and making low-carbon cities a practical reality through system design that reduces the use of virgin resources, minimizes waste, and lowers greenhouse gas emissions. TBC also serves as one of the country’s role models in advancing environmentally friendly packaging alongside sustainable social value creation.

In addition, TBC hosted an exhibition booth under the concept “Together We CAN: Growing Sustainably Together,” showcasing the sustainability lifecycle of aluminium can packaging, which is 100% recyclable and contributes to reducing carbon footprint. This initiative supports Saraburi Province’s long-term low-carbon city development goals and benefits society as a whole.

TBC’s participation in this provincial-level initiative underscores the company’s strong commitment and role as an industrial partner actively driving the Low Carbon City agenda through concrete actions. The event also provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen collaboration and partnerships to further develop social and industrial projects within the province. TBC remains committed to supporting the transition toward a low-carbon society in a tangible way, contributing to Thailand’s goal of achieving Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions.
