On 24th September 2025, Thai Beverage Can Ltd. (TBC), represented by Ms. Kitiya Santaveesuk, AVP, Sustainability, Branding & Communication, and Corporate Affairs, participated in the press conference for Coca-Cola’s “Recycle Me” with Trash Lucky Campaign, Year 5. The event was organized by the Coca-Cola business group in Thailand, which includes ThaiNamthip Corporation Public Company Ltd., Haad Thip Public Company Ltd., and Coca-Cola (Thailand) Company Ltd., in collaboration with Trash Lucky Co., Ltd. The campaign aims to encourage the return of used beverage packaging—such as plastic bottles and aluminium cans—into the recycling process. Participants can exchange recyclable materials for points, which can then be accumulated to win prizes, while also promoting long-term behavioral change in waste management among consumers.

As part of the project, used aluminium cans collected will be sent to TBC for recycling through a Closed Loop Recycling system—a highly efficient process that reduces the use of natural resources and energy compared to production from virgin materials. This system contributes to sustainable and positive environmental impact in the long run. Proceeds from the recycling of aluminium cans will be donated to the Prostheses Foundation of Thailand to support the production of prosthetic legs for underprivileged individuals through the “Recycle for Life” project, creating shared value for both the environment and society. Last year, the program collected up to 868 kilograms of used aluminium cans.

A special highlight of this year’s campaign is the expansion of collaboration to nine universities, engaging Gen Z participants to take part in recycling efforts. The initiative also extends partnerships to new retail allies, broadening the recycling drop-off network to make participation more convenient for consumers. Additionally, the campaign features roadshows, educational recycling workshops, and fun prize-winning games to raise public awareness.
