TBC joins press conference for “We Can Run, Fund For Legs” charity mini-marathon
On 16 February 2024, Mr. Phirun Saiyasitpanich, Director-General of the Department of Climate Change and Environment, alongside private sector partners such as the Prostheses Foundation of HRH the Princess Mother, the Pollution Control Department, Thai Beverage Public Co., Ltd., TCP Group, ThaiNamthip Corporation Ltd., Haad Thip Public Co., Ltd., Thai Beverage Can Ltd., Thai Beverage Recycle Co., Ltd., and other network partners including 3R Foundation, Thai Beverage Industry Association (TBA), and Channel 7HD, held a press conference to invite runners and interested participants to join the “We Can Run, Fund for Legs” charity mini -marathon. The event aims to support the Prostheses Foundation by providing 100 prosthetic legs, enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities, and recycling over 5 million used aluminium cans. Mr. Saroj Chayavivatkul, President of Thai Beverage Can Ltd., and representatives from the sustainability department attended the press conference held at the Auditorium, C Asean, ThaiBev Quarter.
During the press conference, the Director-General of the Department of Climate Change and Environment, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, gave the opening remarks and discussed the objectives of the event. Moreover, both public and private sector organizations shared the stage to talk about the event’s purpose, the operations of the Prostheses Foundation, and perspectives on environmental and social issues. The mini- marathon will take place on 31 March 2024, at Sanam Luang, Bangkok, to raise funds for the “Recycle for Life” project supporting the Prostheses Foundation.
