On 13 September 2024, the Department of Climate Change and Environment, in collaboration with Bon Marché Market Park and Channel 7HD’s “7 Colors of Love for the World” project, organized the “Creative Art for World Ozone Day” campaign. The event aimed to promote the reduction of single-use plastics within Bon Marché Market Park. The activity was presided over by Dr. Phirun Saiyasitpanich, Director-General of the Department of Climate Change and Environment, along with Mr. Pavich Kesavawong, Deputy Director-General, and market executives. The event, held at Bon Marché Market Park in Chatuchak District, Bangkok, strengthened private sector cooperation to expand efforts to reduce, abstain from, and eliminate single-use plastics in fresh markets, advancing toward the Net Zero goal.
Thai Beverage Can Ltd. joined the Department of Climate Change and Environment in donating a can crusher for use in the market. The machine will collect used aluminium cans from the public, which will be sold for recycling. Proceeds from the recycling will be donated to support the operations of the Prostheses Foundation of H.R.H. The Princess Mother.
