On 20 August 2024, the management team of Thai Beverage Can Ltd., led by Mr. Pongpisit Kadharn, Senior Vice President of Technology (Chairperson of the Scholarship Award Ceremony), Ms. Kitiya Santaveesuk, Head of Sustainability, and Mr. Metha Sawangdee, Senior People Department Manager, along with representatives from the People Management division, participated in the scholarship award ceremony for the TBC Scholarship Program 2023. The ceremony was held in Meeting Room 1 at Saraburi Technical College.
The TBC Scholarship Program 2023 was established to provide educational support to underprivileged youth with limited financial resources. The program aligns with the company’s “TBC Sustainability Goals 2030” under the Social Impact strategy. This strategy aims to drive societal progress in areas such as Human rights, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusions by fostering workplace and community diversity, ensuring equality, and supporting disadvantaged groups, including persons with disabilities and low-income individuals, both directly and indirectly.
Recognizing the importance of offering opportunities and developing the potential of youth as a foundation for the country’s economic and social growth, the company provides scholarships to students pursuing vocational education at the diploma level (Higher Vocational Certificate or “Por Wor Sor”). These scholarships are intended for students with strong academic and behavioral records but who lack financial resources for their education. The initiative focuses on communities within a 10–20 km radius of the company’s factory in Nong Khae District, Saraburi Province. Two scholarships have been granted for the full two-year program, each worth 25,000 baht, including educational and welfare support, totaling 50,000 baht.
