On 30 July 2024, the executive team, led by Mr. Saroj Chayavivatkul, President of Thai Beverage Can Ltd. (TBC), and Mr. Vichien Rungwattanakit, Senior Executive Vice President of Packaging and Engineering Business at Berli Jucker Public Co., Ltd., along with TBC employees, participated in the opening ceremony of the Phase 3 solar power generation system at Thai Beverage Can 2.
The installation of this Solar Rooftop has a power generation capacity of 999 kWh, which is equivalent to approximately 1,258,117 kWh per year. It will also reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 670 tons of CO2 equivalent per year. With all 3 phases combined, TBC’s total power generation capacity will reach 5 MWh.
This aligns with TBC’s Sustainability Goals 2030 (TBC SG 2030), specifically under the Product Stewardship strategy: Climate Leader. The company aims to promote the use of renewable energy in its production processes, targeting 20% by 2030. This shift involves reducing the use of polluting fossil fuels in favor of clean solar energy.
TBC commits to driving the use of clean energy for a sustainable business, society, and environment.
